Why is it better to have L-methionine in Aminovit, rather than just DL-methionine like in all other products?
Nature only knows the L-form, not the D-form. Therefore, the body can only use L-methionine and must excrete unused D-methionine. Thus, the P of methionine is lost. This means that if you buy a product containing 1000 mg of DL-methionine, the pigeon will only have 500 mg of methionine, this valuable amino acid.By the way, the D-form is not permitted for humans.L-methionine is about 20 times more expensive than DL-methionine and is, of course, the better form for all animals.
