Moringa is native to Northern India where it is known as "The Miracle tree". Historical data it has been used since 2,000 BC as a therapeutic herb.

As its popularity grew its cultivation spread east across Asia and west to Africa and the Mediterranean. In ancient Egypt the plant was prized for the moisturizing benefits of its oil and was later introduced to the Romans. Today all parts of this life giving plant are used around the world.
