Our bees are housed in a region rich in endemic plants, at an altitude of 1700-2000 meters. Therefore, our honey derives its nectar from wild, mountain, and wildflowers. It is a gourmet delicacy and a source of healing. It is a first-quality honey.

Beekeeping, a family tradition we have been carrying on since 1950, is now available under the brand "My Great Grandfather's Honey."
Our production farm is located in Övenler Village, Pasinler District, Erzurum.
We directly care for the bees from hatching to harvesting. Our honey is harvested annually due to our traditional production method.
We work with the meticulousness, effort, and precision of a beekeeper.
We are very confident in the flavor, nectar density, and healthiness of our honey.
We comply with all inspection requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Our products are also produced and packaged in full compliance with the Turkish Food Codex Honey Communiqué. Our analyses are conducted at the Bioactive research and innovation center, located within the ITU ARI Teknokent.

Why is our honey so valuable?
It is not possible to understand the value of honey from its taste, color, or fluidity. The quality of honey can only be determined by analyzing all its components in a laboratory equipped with adequate technical equipment. These analyses examine criteria such as diastase number, moisture content, acidity, and HMF levels. However, the most important criterion for quality honey is the amount of proline. Honey is a natural food source of protein, and proline is one of the 20 amino acids that make up protein, making it the most important amino acid in determining the purity of honey. Furthermore, proline is found only in honey and cannot be obtained artificially.
In other words, the proline value is the most important parameter used to determine the authenticity, quality, and antioxidant activity of honey. Proline levels are almost negligible in counterfeit honey. Therefore, to combat counterfeit honey, the minimum proline value in the Turkish Food Codex, previously 180 mg kg, was raised to 300 mg kg in 2013. According to the Turkish Food Codex Honey Communiqué, the proline content in honey must be at least 300 mg kg. High-quality honeys have proline levels as high as 600-700 mg kg. With the nectar we collect from thousands of flowers in the Övenler plateau at an altitude of 1705 meters in Erzurum, our honey's nutritional value has far exceeded the requirements of the Honey Communiqué.
