Common Questions

What is the port height on this bit?

The port is ¼ inch high, just enough to allow the tongue to elevate slightly and swallow, but not high enough for palate pressure.

What material is the mouthpiece made from?

The mouthpiece is made of polished sweet iron which naturally oxidizes.

How does this compare to a traditional mullen?

Like a traditional mullen, it is a solid curved bar across the horse's mouth, but it has a wide low port that allows the tongue to pass under the bit more comfortably.
