Geranium Root: Geranium root (Latin Pelargonium sidoides) is a very old South African plant considered to belong to the genus Pelargonium. The traditional name for geranium root is geranium root. It is believed that the name "Umckaloabo" originated with the Zulu people, where it referred to lung disease and chest pains. However, this did not refer to the plant itself, but rather to the South Africans who obtained remedies from the root of the buckaloabo plant to treat illnesses. In the 19th century, Charles Henry Stevens of England was cured of tuberculosis with extracts of medicinal pelargonium, and the plant found its way to Europe. Hildegard of Bingen also used medicinal pelargonium. Today, geranium root is cultivated for medicinal purposes and exported to Germany. Due to the bacteriostatic and antiviral properties of Umckaloabo root, it is processed by the pharmaceutical industry. Ready-to-use medications containing active ingredients from geranium root are available in pharmacies. INGREDIENTS Geranium root
