APPLY EARLY AND OFTEN

Apply sunscreen 15 minutes before going out, and reapply every 2 hours, as well as after sweating, swimming or towel drying.

Sprays: apply evenly until the product is “glistening” on the skin (2 to 4 seconds of continuous spraying per limb, and 5 to 8 seconds for the torso and back).

MAKE IT A HABIT

Teach kids sun-safe habits from a young age and apply sunscreen with them every day. Apply the sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure. Dot sunscreen all over your kids, and race to see who can rub it in fastest. Set a timer for when it's time to reapply (at least every 2 hours), and celebrate "sunscreen time" with a snack or special activity.

PRACTICE TOTAL SUN SAFETY

At school or camp ensure your little one is prepared with a hat, sunglasses and extra sunscreen if allowed. Most importantly, encourage sun safety by setting a good example for your kids.
