Ingredients: Satsuma fruit, sugar
Tasting notes: Bitter citrus, aromatic, long finish
Uses:Coffees, hot and cold cocktails, desserts
Recipe:
5-6 strawberries
4-5 mint leaves
5 cl lemon juice
2 cl satsuma syrup
Top up soda tonic
Mash the strawberries and mint in a shaker with a pestle.
Then, shake all the ingredients except the soda in a shaker (mixing bowl) with plenty of ice.
Strain into a glass with plenty of ice and serve.
Complete with soda or tonic.
Garnish with strawberry slices and mint. Enjoy!
Satsuma, a tangerine variety unique to Mugla, is harvested every year in season from a parcel of land designated for us in Bodrum.
It is made into syrup using entirely local jam-making methods.
