What is Sambucus Nigra?
Sambucus Nigra, also known by different names such as Black Elderberry, European Elderberry, Melesir, and Mindira, is a light brown or gray tree that grows up to 4-10 meters tall and has red fruits. Its flowers are short-stemmed, whitish yellow, and have a strong scent.
In Turkey, Sambucus Nigra is frequently found in the Zigana forests around Trabzon in Northern Anatolia, in the spruce and hornbeam forests around Erzincan and Refahiye, around Bolu, Düzce, and Lake Abant, in the Marmara Region around Izmit and Adapazari, and in damp stream beds and slopes in Central Anatolia.
A total of 180 patients participated in an analysis conducted to investigate the effects of Black Elderberry, scientifically known as Sambucus Nigra, against symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections, and four different clinical studies were compiled. Patients exhibiting symptoms were given black elderberry supplements, and a significant reduction in these symptoms was observed.

Sambucus Nigra Effervescent Consumption Recommendation:
For children aged 11 and over, dissolve one effervescent tablet in a glass (200 ml) of water and consume. Follow the instructions and do not exceed the recommended daily serving.
