Quick Operations Guide

Take forehead temperature: Turn on the thermometer, hold the thermometer 0.4 inch away from forehead, then press the “Power” button for 1 second. Hold still the thermometer until the reading shows up, it usually takes less than 3 seconds. Please note that forehead temperature is normally lower than ear temperature.

Take ear temperature: Remove the probe cover and gently put the probe in the ear canal. Press the “Power” button for 1 second. Hold the thermometer until the reading shows up, it usually takes less than 3 seconds.

Take room/object temperature: Power off the thermometer, press the ‘Memory/Mute-unmute’ button for 3 seconds to enter room/object mode. Keep the thermometer about 1-5cm(0.4-2inch) away from the object. Short press the "Power" button and release. The beep is heard, read the value.

Memory 35 readings recall: Turn on or power off the thermometer, then press the "Memory/Mute-unmute" button to go to the memory mode. Press this button again to check the 35 sets of memories one by one. If no value, it will display "---M"

Switch between mute and un-mute: Turn on or power off the thermometer, keep pressing the "Memory/Mute-unmute" button for 2-3 seconds, switch from un-mute to mute

Notes:

1. Due to the fact that forehead temperature is usually 0.5°F (0.3°C) to 1°F (0.6°C) lower than an oral temperature, it is NORMAL to get the variance between 0.5 to 1°F in Forehead and Ear measurements. This is NOT due to the inaccuracy of the thermometer.

2. If the reading stays “Lo” and the thermometer beeps with red light, it is not caused by low battery, it means the thermometer is taking the air temperature and can't detect your body temperature. Please keep the thermometer close to your forehead like 0.5 inch away from your forehead.

3. To get consistent reading, please always take the temperature in the same location and at a same distance.
