If you're familiar with the original Not a Perfume, it has no top, middle, or base notes. The perfume is composed entirely of Ambroxan. Ambroxan has its own set of built-in fragrances which are highlighted depending on your skin chemistry. It's primarily an Oriental / Amber scent with some undertones of wood. However, different people detect different notes, including citrus, sandalwood, musk, and even pencil shavings. This is a very light, clean, and minimalistic skin fragrance that can be layered with many different oils or perfumes. If you are looking for a full-blown fragrance, this is definitely not it. You may want to read reviews about the original fragrance or try it in a store before purchg this oil since it's not an ideal blind buy. Our version tries to replicate the original as closely as possible, using Ambroxan, carrier oils, plus a couple of trade secrets.
