The history of avocado oil and its cultivation began approximately 10,000 years ago in the Americas and has been widely used topically for skin care regeneration. Avocado oil is also commonly known as vegetable butter. This is because it has a less fluid structure than other oils. It contains a surprisingly high percentage (approximately 88 ) of unsaturated fatty acid derivatives. In addition to the main active ingredients, it is rich in vitamins D and E. Its vitamin and fatty acid composition, viscous structure and easy absorption by the skin make it an excellent alternative for topical use.
Avocado oil can also be used as an emulsifier in ready-made food products due to its harmless content. It contains many beneficial fatty acids such as palmitoleic acid (omega 7), linoleic acid (omega 6), linolenic acid (omega 3) in high concentrations. These fatty acids help support the skin, maintain its moisture balance, have a more vibrant appearance and reduce wrinkles, and can also be used as a supplementary food under the supervision of a doctor for people who are deficient in these fatty acids.
