Shea butter is a women's business and relies on their artisanal know-how, which begins with grinding the almonds and ends with churning. This butter is not refined or extracted by solvent in order to preserve all the properties of shea. It is deodorized by water vapor. What I defend: Secure income The 216 members of the COOPAKE cooperative cultivate mango, cashew, sesame and shea. With a more unpredictable rainy season, this diversity secures the income of the farmers who are members of the cooperative.
