Otrivin acts quickly to relieve a blocked or runny nose caused by colds, flu, sinusitis or hayfever. Warnings Temporary stinging sensation, sneezing may occur. Excessive use may damage lining of nose. Keep out of reach of children and use only as directed. Do not exceed the recommended dosages, especially in very young children. Not to be used for children under six months and not for more than five days for all children except on medical advice. If congestion persists consult your doctor or pharmacist. Ingredients Active ingredients: Xylmetazoline hydrochloride 0.5mg/mL Preservative: Benzalkonium chloride. Directions Clear nose of mucus by wiping, or have child blow nose gently. Lie child down with head lower than shoulders. Insert nozzle a little way into the nostril and squeeze container gently to release required number of drops. Repeat in other nostril. Replace cap. Each product should be used by only one person. Dosage: Birth to 6 years: 1 drop in each nostril up to 3 times daily 7 to 12 years: 2 or 3 drops in each nostril up to 3 times daily Over 12 years: adult formulations recommended.
