Who is the Paramed stethoscope suitable for?
The stethoscope is used by students and medical staff for identification, auscultation, and studying of heart, lungs, and other bodily sounds for physical assessment and patient observation, as well as for diagnosis and instruction. These stethoscopes are easy to use and are suitable for both home and professional medical use.
Why is the stethoscope from Paramed suitable for you?
1. Provides acoustic integrity and clarity.
2. Ergonomic construction that ensures comfort for both the doctor and the patient, even in long-term use.
3. The acoustic pipe is comprised of a thick, latex-free material. It’s Y-configuration does not crack from long term use and is soundproof.
The Two-sided stethoscope from Paramed can detect low and high frequency sounds in full audible range. The stethoscope allows for switching of the active sound channel between the diaphragm and bell side.
New generation elastic pipe saves its shape and flexibility even after being tightly folded in a pocket. The length of the pipe (75cm/29.5”) allows you to create a comfortable distance between the doctor and patient.
The stethoscope is equipped with ear plugs which allow for advanced comfort and ideal acoustic transfer. Soft silicon earphones are hygienic and adapted to the anatomical structure of the ear, protective of the ear canal.
The elastic tube retains its shape and flexibility even after being tightly folded into a pocket. The new generation of stethoscope tubes are not produced from latex, which is beneficial for both medical staff and patients who may be allergic to latex.
The membrane side (high frequencies) and the funnel side (low frequencies) can be alternated by turning the stethoscope head. The stethoscope head needs to be firmly placed on the skin while listening.
If the vibrations cannot be heard, turn the hear around by 180 degrees. Once you hear a click, you know that the auscultation head is in the correct position.
You can check which side is active by locating the open/closed funnel opening, or by touching the membrane with your finger while the headphones are in your ears.
