Although Calendula is native to Europe, it has long been cultivated in many regions of the world with warm climates. It has always been known for its calming and healing properties. The plant's yellow, orange flowers are like the prototype of the sun. The Latin word Calende means the first day of the month, and the plant's Latin name, Calendula, refers to the months-long flowering process.

Calendula oil is obtained by macerating the flowers in an organic vegetable oil (such as sunflower or olive oil) at a ratio of 1:10 under the sun. It is a red-orange, slightly bitter, floral-scented plant.

Contains 14-40 oleic acid, 3.5-20 linoleic acid, 1-7 stearic acid, 4-9 palmitic acid.
