CLINICAL USE:

Gingivitis

Data collected as a result of oil-pulling with coconut oil showed significant and promising improvements in reducing plaque formation and gingivitis.

Antioxidant

In one study, CO consumption was observed to alter the lipid profile and antioxidant levels in diabetic and non-diabetic patients.

Neurodegenerative

After intervention with coconut oil, improvements in episodic, temporal orientation and semantic memory were observed and the positive effect seems to be more pronounced in women with mild to moderate conditions, although other improvements were shown in men and in severe conditions.3.

The oil obtained from the fruit by cold pressing is rich in 40 lauric, 12 myristic, 10 palmitic, 8 capric, oleic, linoleic acids and tocopherol.

Lauric acid, which is converted to monolaurin in the body, exhibits antifungal and antimicrobial activity. It is very valuable for cardiovascular and brain health.

This oil, rich in medium-chain saturated fatty acids, is solid at room temperature. It is rich in lauric, myristic, palmitic, capric, oleic, linoleic acids and tocopherol.
