CLINICAL USE:

Larvicidal

Azadirachta indica (Meliaceae) and its derivatives have exhibited various insecticidal properties.1.

Apoptosis

Neem treatment caused accumulation of LC3-II in cancer cells, suggesting the involvement of autophagy in neem-induced cancer cell death. Low doses of autophagy inhibitors (i.e., 3-methyladenine and LY294002) did not prevent neem-induced LC3-II accumulation in cancer cells.2.

POSOLOGY: Internal use for the protection of general health is recommended by a physician.

External use is available.

SAFETY CONTRAINDICATION: Symptoms of poisoning occur in high doses. Symptoms of neem oil poisoning should be treated without specific antidote and gastric lavage.

It has been used in India for many years. Ayurvedic books date it back to 2500 BC. It is obtained from the seeds of the plant by cold pressing. It is dark green brown in color and has a slight garlic-like odor.

The oil obtained from the seeds of the plant by cold pressing contains oleic acid, linoleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid.

Neem oil has strong antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. It also has wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used against pests in organic farming.

It affects insects with the azadirachtin component. It has been found that when added to coconut oil at a rate of 2 , it keeps mosquitoes away for up to 12 hours.
