Previcox has an attractive aroma and taste, making it readily accepted by dogs. If dogs refuse the drug, it can be given with their food. The duration of treatment for osteoarthritis depends on the animal's condition and is determined by the attending veterinarian. Use of the drug for more than 90 days should be carried out under regular veterinary supervision. To relieve postoperative pain, the drug is administered 2 hours before surgery, and then, as needed, once a day for 3 days. An overdose may cause excessive salivation, gastrointestinal upset, and depression. No significant effects have been observed during initial administration or upon discontinuation of the drug. If a dose is missed, administration should be resumed at the prescribed dosage and according to the same schedule.
