What is Himalayan Salt?
In short, millions of years ago, the Himalayan Mountains formed when the Asian continent and the Indian subcontinent merged over the Indian Ocean. The ocean in between dried up, depositing its salt at the foot of the Himalayas. Himalayan salt, also considered sea salt in its most primitive sense, is a rock salt that has been crystallizing under tectonic pressure for 300 million years.

Gargling with salty rock water is perhaps the most effective, inexpensive, and natural way to protect yourself from throat problems and relieve pharyngitis. The salt solution helps both reduce swelling in the pharyngeal tissue and eliminate unwanted microbes. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water. Gargle with a mouthful of this solution for 30 seconds. Repeat this process every hour or every 3-4 hours.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:Thanks to the resealable feature of the packaging, you can pour it into your salt shaker and reseal the remaining salt in the packaging. Because it does not contain substances such as silicon dioxide, it may clump together as it ages. If your salt is clumpy, it's an indication that it doesn't contain any preservatives and hasn't been chemically treated. In this case, you can return it to its original shape by simply shaking the package gently. We recommend adding your salt after cooking to better preserve its minerals. Store in a cool, dry place away from light. The World Health Organization recommends 6 grams of natural salt per day.
