Höhe ca. 10,5cm Fuß Holz. Gute Qualität aus dem Oberhaar mit deutlich erkennbarem dunklen Streifen in der Mitte (Farbspektrum: hellbraun bis beige) im oberen und unteren Bereich, graubrauner bis grauschwarzer Streifen in der Mitte). Die Zeichnung begründet sich aus der natürlichen Fellzeichnung des Tieres. Dieses Fell dient dem Dachs dazu Witterungen und vor allem Wasser abzuwehren. In Fließrichtung (Zu den Spitzen hin) verläuft das Haar deshalb grannenartig. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass sich der Pinsel beim Einschäumen angenehm weich auf der Haut anfühlt. Wasserreste laufen sehr gut ab, wenn der Pinsel hängt. Die Schaumentwicklung mit reinem Zupfhaar ist ausgezeichnet.
