About a decade ago, R Bar founder Brian, was on another trajectory racing bikes as a cyclist around the US. While pursuing that dream, the importance of simplicity in choosing the best fuel for training and racing became very clear. We could tell you that same tired story about how none of the other bars, drinks and gels on the market met our needs and standards for energy, endurance and recovery. Because those things are important. But in the early days, it was really more about the digestibility, taste, and texture (and Brian realizing a pro contract wasn't in the cards!). One bite lead to two…and two bites lead to them asking to bring a batch for them to the next race. Over 3 years Brian hand pressed over 150,000 bars, getting the arms to prove it.
