PRODUCT SAFETY INFORMATION
Due to hypersensitivity to the trace element selenium, a preliminary trial should be performed on a few lambs in the herd and then general herd administration should be initiated based on the observation results. In sensitive animals, the specified maintenance doses should be halved.
Administrations and doses that would cause selenium overload should be avoided in healthy lambs, kids, and calves that have completed the feed transition period.
Hypersensitivity reactions may rarely occur in cattle.
The use of sulfur in diets increases the clinical symptoms of selenium deficiency.
Therefore, do not add sulfur to the diets of animals receiving VETASUPRA SELEN-E COMFORT oral liquid.
When administered in doses much higher than the recommended amounts or in rarely sensitive animals Increased respiratory rate, tachycardia, diarrhea, behavioral disorders, and collapse (a severe collapse caused by the dilation of peripheral vessels and the accumulation of blood there, resulting in a sudden cessation of all body functions) may be observed.
There is no specific antidote.
Symptom-based treatment should be administered.
Administration of 3-4 times the indicated doses may cause toxicity.
Although rare, anophylactic shock may be observed in overdoses.
Treatment should be initiated with adrenaline. Shake well before use.
Keep away from other chemicals and pesticides.
Consult a veterinarian before use and if any unexpected effects occur.
