How To Measure Temperature With Different Modes

Our Ear thermometer has 3 modes. It can measure forehead, ear and object temperatures. Here are detail about different measurement modes

1.Forehead Measurement

To perform a head measurement:

• Ensure the Protective Cover is kept in place, so the thermometer is in Forehead Measuring Mode.
• Aim the Infrared Probe at the temple and press the Start button, you will begin to hear ticking.
• Move the probe across the forehead to the other temple, keeping contact with the forehead always.
• Release the Start button as soon as the probe is at the other temple, a beep will be heard and the temperature will be displayed.

2. Ear Measurement

• Remove the Protective Cover to expose the Infrared Probe and ensure the device is in ear measuring mode.
• For adults, pull the ear backward and upward with your free hand to straighten the ear canal and gently insert the Infrared Probe into the ear canal.
• Ensure that the Infrared Probe is aimed directly toward the eardrum. If the ear canal is not straightened, inaccurate readings may result.
• For children between 6 and 12 months old, pull the outer ear straight backward.
• Press the START button once to take the measurement.
• Beep indicates that the measurement has been taken and the thermometer may be removed from the ear. Look at the display to read the temperature. Clean the Infrared Probe.
