Blooming tea, also known as blooming tea ball, is a traditional Chinese tea. It is a unique and visually captivating type of tea. It is made by manually wrapping green tea leaves around carefully wrapped dried jasmine flowers and tying them together. When the tea is placed in hot water, the leaves and flowers open, creating a unique and artistic display in a glass teapot or cup. Blooming tea has a light and sweet flavor. Blooming tea is usually served in a clear or glass teapot so that the tea's visual aesthetic can be fully appreciated.

Ideal Preparation Conditions

1 blooming tea ball per teapot, 500ml fresh and filtered 80-85 C water, 5-10 minutes steeping time. Place the blooming tea ball in a clear glass teapot or large glass mug, at least 8-10cm deep. Boil water in a separate teapot. Pour the water over the blooming tea. Steep until the tea flower is fully opened. Flavor with sweetener if desired. Enjoy hot or with ice. Each tea flower can be steeped up to 2-3 times. Tea flowers can be stored in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours for additional steeping (drain the water before storing).
