It is equally at home in the vegetable garden and the ornamental garden, because it forms a small thicket with light, slender, lanceolate, bright green foliage (deciduous or semi-evergreen depending on the climate). This woody plant can reach 2 to 3 meters in height and 2 meters in width under favorable climates, but in France, and more specifically north of the Loire River, it remains more modest in size. Its leaves emit an intense, fresh, lemony fragrance, known for repelling mosquitoes, much like our essential oil diffuser, and this fragrance lasts for nearly two years after drying. Ingrédients: Ingrédients (partie utilisée) Composition Verveine odorante Aloysia citriodora Palau (feuilles) 100 Origine: ParaguayVerveine La verveine citronnelle, ou verveine odorante (à ne pas mélanger avec la verveine officinale), est populaire sous de plusieurs patronymes : Lippia citrodora, Lippia triphylla, Verbena citriodora, Aloysia triphylla ou encore Aloysia citrodora. Elle a sa position de même pas mal au potager qu'au jardin d'ornement, parce qu'elle forme un petit fourré au feuillage allégé et mince (caduc ou semi-persistant d'après le climat), lancéolé, de couleur vert précis. Ce végétal ligneux peut atteindre 2 à 3 mètres de hauteur et 2 mètres d'ampleur sous un climat favorable, mais dans l'hexagone, et plus précisément au nord de la Loire, elle garde des proportions plus modestes. De ses feuilles émane une intense fragrance fraîche et citronnée, reconnu pour éloigner les moustiques tout comme notre diffuseur d'huile essentielle, et qui subsiste pendant près de 2 ans ensuite séchage.
