At the end of summer, chaste tree flowers add color to nature with their white and purple hues, attracting the attention of bees with their spicy flavor. Also known as "Five Finger Herb" because its leaves resemble a hand with outstretched fingers, chaste tree blooms in June and July. Its purple and white flowers are clustered around five shoots on each branch.
Sadik Tarim's Pure Chaste Honey is produced by beekeepers who leave hives in the wild during the chaste tree season. The bees, encountering the flowers, combine the nectar and pollen they collect with their own enzymes and carry them back to the hives. This creates Sadik Tarim's Chaste Honey, which is very clear and slightly reddish when first harvested, but darkens over time. Because it is not heat-treated, it retains its vitamins, enzymes, and pollen content.
CRYSTALLIZATION IS SURE TO OCCUR IN REAL AND NATURAL HONEYS, AND THIS IS PROOF THAT THE HONEY IS NATURAL. CRYSTALLIZATION IS THE PHENOMENON IN HONEY WHEN THE GLUCOSE SUGAR CONTAINED IN HONEY REACHES ITS SATURATION POINT OVER TIME AND SITTS TO THE BOTTOM. THIS IS WHY VIRGIN HONEYS DEFINITELY CRYSTALLIZE, AND THIS IS A NATURAL OCCURRENCE.
To prevent crystallization, processed honey undergoes a process where it is heated, then cooled, and pollen is removed. This process is normally used to prevent crystallization. However, due to the high temperatures applied during this process, many of the vitamins, enzymes, minerals, and amino acids are destroyed and lose their effectiveness, thus reducing the honey's natural and healthy properties. Compared to other honeys, chaste honey crystallizes more slowly.
Sadik Tarim's Chaste Tree Honey has many benefits. It is known to be good for high fevers and headaches. Experts say it is beneficial for many gynecological ailments, especially anemia. It plays an important role in increasing breast milk and is recommended for breastfeeding mothers to increase their milk supply. It is also said to be good for menstrual pain and, when consumed regularly, for menopausal complaints in women. Chaste Tree Honey also helps cleanse the liver.
Our Sadik Tarim Extracted Chaste Honey has been analyzed at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's Special Food Control Laboratory, and all analysis results are proudly shared with our valued customers.
When we examine some of the test results, we see that the Proline Value in honey should be at least 300 mg kg according to the Turkish Food Codex Communiqué, while this value in Sadik Tarim Extracted Chaste Honey is 637.60 mg kg. A high proline value is an indicator of whether bees are collecting nectar from nature and the proportion of nectar they are collecting. Proline content is a quality criterion in honey. Another enzyme produced by bees secreting their stomachs during the ripening of Hayit Honey and transferred to our Sadik Tarim Strained Hayit Honey is the Diasthesis value. According to the Turkish Food Codex Communiqué, this value should be at least 8. However, this value is displayed as 13.00 in our product. The Diasthesis value is a result of research that is considered an indicator that the product has not been heat-treated and is natural. Another crucial analysis in the test results is the Moisture Value test. The moisture value test reveals the amount of water in the honey. This value plays a significant role in determining the maturity and shelf life of honey. While this value should be the highest according to the Turkish Food Codex Communiqué, it is displayed as 0.47 in our Sadik Tarim Strained Hayit Honey. A value greater than this is considered an indication that the honey was harvested early. Another criterion is that Sadik Tarim Chayit Honey must be free of sucrose. Our bees invert all the nectar they collect, breaking it down into fructose and glucose. Genuine Chayit Honey contains no sucrose.
Sadik Tarim Extracted Chayit Honey can be consumed solid or by thawing it by placing the honey jar in a container of hot water (Bain-Marie Method) at a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius. It should not be consumed by infants under one year of age or by anyone allergic to bee products. Because we operate with the motto of "We don't let others eat what we wouldn't eat ourselves," all our analysis results are shared transparently.
