Sweet chili peppers are a traditional local product. Finer and less acidic than bell peppers, they have always been used in Basque cuisine to make Axoa, piperade, poulet basquaise, etc. "Natural", as a tart base or in a sauce with fresh pasta, this piperade is also enjoyed as an accompaniment to poultry, white meat, or fish. Reheated in a pan with 3 or 4 eggs, they are a delight with a few slices of grilled Bayonne ham or bacon. Suitable for 2 to 3 peopleStorage: The can of piperade can be stored for 4 years in a cool, dry place. Once opened, store for 48 hours in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Ingredients: Tomatoes (66 ) origin: Aquitaine-France, tomato paste, sweet Basque pepper (7.7 ), onions, peppers, sugar, duck fat, garlic, salt, pepper and spices, Espelette pepper.
