Sweet peppers are a traditional local product. Finer and less acidic than bell peppers, they have always been used in Basque cuisine to make Axoa, piperade, poulet basquaise, etc. We let them ripen to make jam, jelly, and puree. They are then very red and sweet, full of vitamin C, perfect for making delicious condiments. This jelly will surprise you with its subtlety and originality. In cooking, sweet pepper jelly is used like honey. You can use it on goat cheese toast, such as cabécou, but also to deglaze duck breast or aiguillettes, for example. It is also suitable for making gingerbread, where it can replace half the honey, and as an accompaniment to foie gras. A delicious, flavorful treat!Storage: Once opened, this Basque Country chili pepper jelly can be stored for 2 months in the refrigerator. Ingredients: Sweet pepper juice from the Basque Country (France) hand-picked and stemmed (40 fruit), sugar, lemon juice, apple juice, cider vinegar, Gelling agents: agar-agar, pectin, Espelette pepper. Allergens: contains sulfites.
