Scott Barnes had a fantasy of being an expressive art painter. Charting his course, Scott moved to New York City in 1984 and attended New York’s renowned Parsons School of Design. Scott was encouraged by a photographer to become a makeup artist and use his skills of understanding light and creating color with the human face as his canvas. Scott started doing makeup for fashion photography shoots which immediately made him famous as a makeup artist in the industry. In 2004, Scott founded his own brand, Scott Barnes Cosmetics. 130 of Scott Barnes Cosmetics products were carried in Saks Fifth Avenue, USA, and also Holt Renfrew in Canada.
