Our St. John's Wort oil is obtained by steeping the St. John's Wort plant, grown in the Fethiye region, in cold-pressed olive oil obtained from olives also grown in the Fethiye region. Our production is additive-free and without dilution.

St. John's Wort Plant:

St. John's Wort is a plant found in many species in Anatolia, growing naturally in nature, reaching 30-60 cm tall. It is harvested in the summer months and has pink flowers. These pink flowers have been used for medicinal purposes throughout almost all of human history.

The plant is quite rich in nutrients. It contains many antioxidants, organic acids, essential oils, bioflavonoids, tannins, proxyanidins, naphthodianthrones, and natural active ingredients such as phloroglucinol, especially hypericin and hyperforin.

St. John's Wort Oil:

St. John's Wort oil is obtained from the flowers and leaves of the St. John's Wort plant. The flowers and leaves are filled with hypericum oil. To maximize the benefits of both this oil and its other beneficial active ingredients, the flowers and leaves of the St. John's Wort plant are steeped in olive oil (maceration). The plant can be used fresh or dried. Both are effective, but their intended uses vary.

How to Obtain St. John's Wort Oil:

St. John's Wort oil is obtained by soaking the flowers and leaves of the St. John's Wort plant in olive oil, or maceration, in the sun.

The quality of St. John's Wort oil depends on the quality of the olive oil used. The higher the quality of the olive oil, the more beneficial St. John's Wort oil becomes. At Tayf Herbal, we use first-quality olive oil, cold-pressed from Fethiye olives, in the production of St. John's Wort oil. It is stored in glass jars in direct sunlight for 30 days, stirring daily. The oil, which turns red and matures through photochemical reactions, is separated from the plant parts and transferred to resting tanks for 10 days to allow for natural sedimentation. After filtration, it is bottled and delivered to you for your safe use.
