Pol-pala (also known as woolly erva) is an annual or biennial plant of the Amaranth family, used in folk medicine to treat urinary tract disorders.

Remedies based on this herb were used to treat high-ranking officials at the time.

The plant was unavailable to ordinary citizens of the USSR. There were no official supplies to the country; small quantities of the plant were brought in by sailors and pilots traveling abroad.

Пол-пала (другое название эрва шерстистая) – это однолетнее или двулетнее растение семейства Амарантовые, которое используют в народной медицине для лечения патологий мочевыделительной системы.

Средствами на основе этой травы тогда лечили высокопоставленных чиновников. Рядовым жителям СССР растение было недоступно. Официальных поставок в страну не было, небольшие партии растения завозили моряки и пилоты, которые бывали за границей.
