What is VICIUM-D3? VICIUM-D3 is a dietary supplement in tablet form, developed based on published international research, to supplement the mother's vitamin and mineral depletion during pregnancy and lactation, starting from the 12th week of pregnancy, and to support bone tissue during the treatment of osteoporosis (osteoporosis). Key VICIUM-D3 Components and Functions: Calcium: Calcium is the most important fundamental element in the formation and maintenance of bone and teeth strength. 99 of all calcium in the body is found in bones. During pregnancy, especially in the 6th-9th months, the development of the baby's skeletal system and teeth is at its most rapid, and calcium needs increase significantly. Calcium, essential for the baby's development and physical functions, is met by the mother's stores. During this period, calcium is also stored in the expectant mother's bones for use in milk production during the postpartum period. Calcium supplementation during breastfeeding also has a positive effect on the mother's bone health. Additionally, calcium supplementation may be beneficial in preventing bone density loss that can occur with aging due to calcium deficiency in both men and women. Magnesium: Magnesium controls cellular calcium uptake. It ensures the proper distribution of calcium in bones and teeth and increases the effectiveness of vitamin D. During pregnancy, it may be beneficial in stopping premature labor contractions and preventing pregnancy-related high blood pressure called preeclampsia. Vitamin D: Vitamin D helps the body absorb and use calcium, helping to form and maintain strong bones. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to osteoporosis in adults and osteoporosis in later life. Vitamin D is crucial for the health of both mother and child during pregnancy. Vitamin D supplementation during pregnancy may play a role in reducing the risk of growth retardation and skeletal disorders in the baby, as well as the risk of preeclampsia and cesarean delivery in the mother. Zinc: Zinc contributes to normal protein production and plays a role in cell division. It also contributes to the normal function of the immune system. During pregnancy, when cell production is extremely rapid, the body's need for zinc also increases.
