Hangbaiju (), originally from Tongxiang, near Hangzhou, also simply called Hangju, (). The Chinese love chrysanthemums and have grown thousands of varieties. But only one is suitable for tea infusion, namely the so-called sweet chrysanthemum. Their finest specimens can be found in Hangchow Province in southern China. The tea tastes discreetly floral and is liked to be mixed with Pu-Erh tea. In summer, chrysanthemum blossom tea is excellent for cooling down. Chrysanthemum tea has been attributed to various medical properties for centuries.
