At Turrones Fabian, we produce nougat year-round. Along with hard and soft nougat, it's one of our best-selling nougat varieties. The story of Yema Tostada nougat stems from the large quantity of egg yolks that were wasted in the production of other types of nougat (which use only egg whites). Unlike regular Yema nougat, this one has a toasted flavor. This is due to the sugar being added and charred with an iron during the final stage of the production process. It's a traditional nougat, with a high percentage of almonds, made according to time-honored recipes. One of the most typical and traditional Christmas nougats.
