Andrélon is het meest verkochte haarverzorgingsmerk in Nederland. Andrélon kent een rijke geschiedenis van bijna 80 jaar: ooit maakte kapper André de Jong zijn eigen verzorgingsproducten in een klein fabriekje naast zijn winkel in Bodegraven.

Van kapperszaak tot landelijk bekend merk

De jonge ondernemer André de Jong liet zich niet tegenhouden door de Grote Depressie in de jaren 30 van de vorige eeuw. Hij zette zijn eigen kapperszaak op inclusief badhuis. Deze liep verrassend goed en André kreeg de kans om zijn droom te verwezenlijken.

Eind jaren 30 begon hij te experimenteren met zijn eigen shampoo die hij in zijn eigen fabriekje maakte. Verkocht hij zijn producten in het begin alleen aan collega's, al snel trokken zijn zoons de regio door met tassen vol vaste en vloeibare verzorgingsmiddelen.

In 1940 registreerde hij zich bij de Kamer van Koophandel en Fabrieken in Bodegraven. Parfumerie Andrélon was geboren en in de daarop volgende 80 jaar ontwikkelde het zich als een landelijk bekend merk voor haarverzorging.

Innovatie

In de bijna 80 jaar dat Andrélon haarverzorgingsproducten maakt is innovatie altijd een belangrijke leidraad geweest. Van de introductie van de onderscheidende schubbenfles tot de steeds vernieuwende formules van de shampoos zelf. Een van de eerste ontwikkelingen waren de introductie van de toverslag-formule tegen vermoeid haar, de Ei-shampoo tegen droog haar, de Milky-shampoo tegen vet haar en de Dennen-shampoo tegen roos. Later kwam daar de Glans Shampoo en de Iedere Dag Shampoo bij.

Tegenwoordig kent Andrélon nog vele andere productlijnen, maar de klassiekers zal niemand meer vergeten.

Plastic verpakkingen: van lineair naar circulair

Bij Unilever willen we toe naar een circulaire economie, zodat zo veel mogelijk plastic verpakkingen hergebruikt of gerecycled kunnen worden. Daarbij gebruiken we waar mogelijk geen plastic. Als er nog geen kwalitatief goed alternatief beschikbaar is, gebruiken we minder plastic of beter plastic.
