OUR RECIPE SUGGESTION
Pea Protein Bolognese Sauce
4 tablespoons Veggy Pea Protein
3 tablespoons olive oil
30 g chopped onion
1 2 sprig spring onion
20 g grated carrot
30 g grated celery
1 2 sprig chopped leek
6 chopped mushrooms
1 red bell pepper
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon apple vinegar
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons tomato puree
1 clove garlic
Salt and pepper
Finely chopped basil (for serving)
Instructions:
Heat the oil and red pepper flakes in a non-stick pan. Add the onion, carrot, leek, celery, spring onion, red pepper, garlic, and bay leaf and sauté for about 5 minutes. Soak the Veggy Pea Protein in hot water and add it to the pan after it has absorbed the water. Cook, stirring, for a few minutes. Finally, add the mushrooms, vinegar, tomato puree, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about half an hour. You can serve it with any type of pasta or Chinese noodles you like.
