In what order should I apply Vitamin C and Retinol?
In the morning, apply 3-5 drops of LiftActiv Vitamin C over a dry face and neck after cleansing. At night, cleanse and apply 3-5 drops of LiftActiv Pure Retinol Serum. For best results, follow with SPF in the morning and a moisturizer at night.
Can I use both products daily?
It is recommended to use Vitamin C once daily. Start by using Retinol once every 3 nights for the first week, before increasing to every second night during the second week. If your skin is reacting well, you can use every night as tolerated.
What cannot be paired with Retinol?
Avoid layering pure retinol with any other potentially irritating ingredients, like AHA and BHA, in order to minimize discomfort. Always use a SPF 30 or higher during the day when using retinol.
Who should use Vitamin C and Retinol together?
The potent yet gentle formula makes our Retinol suitable for most skin types, but those concerned with anti-aging, hyperpigmentation, radiance, and uneven skin texture can benefit the most from using Vitamin C and Retinol together.
Why use Vitamin C in the morning and Retinol at night?
Vitamin C provides antioxidant protection during the day, while retinol works to repair and regenerate the skin at night. Separating the use of these ingredients also allows for better penetration and efficacy of each.
