FAQS Q: Is it an instant thermometer?
A: No, it doesn't give the temperature instantaneously. It is a smart thermometer with multi-functional APP for parents to monitor their children's temperature. It comes with automatic calibration function and requires several minutes of temperature climb when starting up (3-5 minutes at room temperature 73.4?/23?, 5-10 minutes below 40?/4.4?).
Q: Besides the depression below the child's chest, can I put Walnut Thermal in other body areas?
A: No. If you put it onto other areas, it may affect the temperature reading accuracy.
Q: After the Bluetooth is disconnected, it cannot be connected again.
A: Our thermometer is connected to the phone via Bluetooth, and the transmission distance is max 33 feet, so if the distance between your phone and the thermometer is greater than 33ft (10 meters), the Bluetooth connection will be interrupted.
For reconnecting, you could click Reconnect on the main interface of the APP, or put the thermometer back into the storage box (base station) and then take it out to connect to the Bluetooth.
Q: Can I turn off the APP/run it in the background?
A: During the use of the thermometer, please keep the Walnut Care APP running in the background, do not turn off the APP. Otherwise, the data transmission will be interrupted.
Q: Can one phone connect to more than one thermometer?
A: Yes, you can connect multiple thermometers through the APP. Click the upper left corner of APP and select "Devices" to switch.
Note: Switching to another thermometer will delete the previous recorded temperature.
Q: Is the temperature reading accurate?
A: It’s accurate, the difference for the temperature is +/- 0.3 ?. It has been tested to the ASTM E1112-00 standard, which is required for all clinical digital thermometers. Please make sure 1: Point the thermometer sensor at the depression below the child's chest. 2:Press lightly for 3-5 seconds, then check that the walnut thermometer is secured. The sensor on the back of the thermometer needs to be in good contact with the skin. 3: Don’t put it in an extreme environment.
