How to use carrier oils
You can use carrier oils alone, directly on your skin. See below to choose which oils are best for your skin type, what benefits you're looking for, and where to apply them.
Face- After cleansing, add a few drops of carrier oil and massage over face and neck. Use a non-oily oil so it absorbs quickly into the skin.
Body- For the skin, you can apply a few drops anywhere on the body and massage in to moisturize. You can also add a small amount of oil to your bath to slowly absorb into the skin. Some oils are also great for massaging.
Hair - While your hair is dry, massage a few drops of the oil into your hair. This will create shine and dampen frizz for a smooth, silky texture. For a longer treatment, including your scalp, you can massage your chosen oil into your hair and leave it overnight. Once done, wash your hair and see the results!
Mixing Carrier Oils Together
Mixing carrier oils together allows you to create an oil that best meets your skin's needs. You'll want to aim for your blend to contain a balanced blend of highly moisturizing, non-drying, and non-drying oils, along with any additional healing properties you're looking for.
Mixing Carrier Oils With Essential Oils
Carrier oils make it possible to use essential oils safely. They also help nourish and moisturize your skin. No matter which oil you choose, avoid using it on your lips, eyes, or other sensitive areas after it's been mixed with an essential oil. However, you can safely apply the carrier oil alone to these areas.
