Application

Because hydrosols are super gentle on the skin, they can be used several times a day.

A few ways to add floral water to your beauty routine:

Use with a face or body oil to help the oil absorb into the skin.

Spray a generous amount of the hydrosol onto your skin, then apply the oil while your skin is still damp. This process provides the same benefits as using a cream or lotion, just without the added emulsifiers and preservatives.

Spray your face 3 to 4 times a day to replenish your complexion. This will leave your skin plump, nourished, hydrated, and looking its best.

Use it to set your makeup. Spray a little after your makeup is done to help it stay in place. Misting after makeup gives your skin a gorgeous dewy finish and helps your makeup look more natural.

Spray a little bit of the hydrosol onto a cotton pad to remove your makeup. You can do this before cleansing your skin, or after cleansing to remove any remaining makeup or residue.

Use it after cleansing to balance your skin's pH. While most of the water in our homes is neutral or slightly alkaline, our skin's acid mantle has an optimum pH of 5.5, which is slightly acidic and helps prevent bacteria from growing on the skin. A toner is also slightly acidic and can help restore your skin's pH after cleansing or rinsing with tap water.

Use it instead of water when mixing powdered masks for added benefits. This also allows you to customize your mask using different hydrosols depending on what your skin needs most at any given time.
