As you bite into the first baru nut – savouring the crunch, the explosion of flavor, the unmissable goodness –something special happens: you join our family.

For seven years, my family has tenderly nurtured our baruzeiro trees in a peaceful village nestled in the tropical Brazilian Cerrado – the most biodiverse savanna in the world. No fertilizers are used on my trees – only pristine rainwater, and generous doses of patience and love. Finally, the fruits were ready to be carefully hand-picked and sliced open to extract the treasure inside: the nutrient-dense, marvellously yummy baru nut. We then gently roasted the nuts in small batches, and packaged them for you in this handy pouch.

Some call it a superfood; to us, it simply symbolises the Cerrado: raw, natural goodness.
