FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ'S)
What do I do if the color appears faded or watery
If the color is not vibrant or appears runny, this means the pigment is not fully mixed. Just shake the marker with the cap on until color is opaque and vibrant.
What if the tip gets stuck
If the tip gets stuck, take off the cap and partially unscrew the colored plastic piece that attaches the nip to the black body of the marker. A couple turns will do the trick and when you tighten this piece back up, the nib will pop back into place.
How do I reverse the tip
These markers come with reversible tips. Simple use a pair or tweezers or a paper towel to pull out the tip, reverse and replace. Use a piece of scrap paper to press the tip in and release to ensure the tip is fully set.
I haven't used them in a long time, how do I revive them
if the markers go unused for a while or seem to be drying out, they may need a little attention to get going again. First, shake it vigorously for at least 30 seconds. You need to hear the ball bearing moving inside as you shake it. Keep shaking vigorously for at least 10 seconds after you hear this sound. Now prime the nib by fully pressing it down on a clean surface. Hold it down and/or pump gently until the ink comes out.
Can I use these markers on chalkboard paint or a painted wall
Painted boards are not recommended for liquid chalk markers as ghosting will occur. Ghosting is when you can still see a faint outline of your drawing even after erasing. We recommend sealing any non-porous surfaces before using markers.
How do you erase liquid chalk markers
Our Liquid chalk markers can be erased easily on non-porous surfaces. A damp cloth is usually all it takes. However, on porous surfaces (non-erasable), some of the pigment can get absorbed, causing a shadow to be left behind when removed. If you've experienced this, here are some ideas to help: 1. Use a white cleaning eraser to clean the surface. These work wonders but can remove some painted surfaces, so please test first. 2. Use a baby wipe. These also work well and are somewhat less aggressive than cleaning erasers. Please test any of these cleaning techniques in a small area first as all surfaces react differently to these solutions and we don't want any damage to occur.
What else can I use my markers on
These markers also work great on vinyl, glass, whiteboard, tile, metal, plastic, and other non-porous materials.
WARNING! - NEVER use any chalk markers on chalkboard paint or cheap porous chalkboards.
