Indigo enhances black hair colour and can be used by itself on existing black hair for blue-black hair. However, will turn white or grey hair blue or blue-green colour. Use indigo with henna to achieve light brown hair dye, medium or dark brown hair by combining the two hair powders for a one-step application or in a two-step application for black hair dye, blue-black or jet black.
