Flocked swabs absorb more DNA sample due to capillary effect during sample collection and elute more readily in the lab than cotton swabs. Hence reduces the need for retest due to insufficient DNA sample detection. For additional peace of mind, we supply 2 swabs per individual for sample collection. In the event that the first swab fails to elute sufficient DNA sample for analysis, we will retest the second swab at no extra cost.
