Design Story
Based out of Southern California, our rod and reels are carefully engineered and tested by real anglers. Telescopic fishing rods are made up of separate sections that require additional design considerations that are different than the traditional one piece rod. By having multiple sections, a telescopic rod is more prone to breaking, especially at the tip section where it's thinner. Making a rod thicker will increase strength but will reduce its ability to "feel the bite". In addition, many of the telescopic rods on the market are prone to being stuck and unable to collapse after use, which defeats the purpose of having one.
Our design approach focused on finding the right balance between sensitivity and strength. The bottom sections are stiff and it gradually becomes lighter at the top. While traditional 1pc rods will perform the best, we believe our rods provide an exceptional balance between power, strength, and sensitivity to be used as a go-to, portable, travel rod.
