Chemical and mineral actives work in different ways — while mineral filters deflect UV rays, chemical absorb the rays and turn them into heat. Which sunscreen filters do you use? Zinc Oxide (3%), Homosalate (7.5%), Octisalate (5%) and Octinoxate (7.5%). Zinc acts as a physical filter, and is famously non-irritating.
