Mercury levels between two individual tuna can vary widely even between two tuna of the same size, same school and from the same location. The only way to know the purity of a fish is to test it. We partnered with engineers and scientists to develop a proprietary technology that can test each and every tuna for mercury. No other brand does this.

Safe Catch has tested over 2,000,000 fish to date. Every fish used in Safe Catch Elite tuna is tested to a mercury limit 10 TIMES stricter than the FDA limit. If the fish does not pass our strict standards, Safe Catch does not buy the fish. They are still good fish, they’re just not Safe Catch fish.

For maximum Omega3 benefit, do not drain

Conventional brands pre-cook fish on racks, draining away healthy nutrients and Omega3 oils. It is then packed in water, oil or often a GMO broth and cooked again. This impairs natural flavor and texture.
