This area is known as the Nape. If you incorrectly place the band at the back of your head at the ear level, the ShowrShield is not at the correct location and may cause leaking. The face shield should protrude outwardly away from your chin about 3-5 inches if worn correctly. The ShowrShield is a beauty product and should be used only for beauty applications only. We do not recommend using the ShowrShield for medical applications as it is not been certified for medical applications. Recommended for teens, adults, elderly and special needs consumers. All materials are latex free and hypoallergenic. We use only high grade polyethylene clear plastic for the facial shield for its durabilty, strength & flexible conforming properties which makes the PLUS so effective.
